yea if you went through apprenticeship youd start at 50% of a journeyman every 850 hours get a 5% raise its very hard in the beginning unless you get on a overtime job i wasnt very comfortable till my 3rd year but i knew what the end goal was my whole family was in the fitters so i knew i just had to get to the other side and itd all be worth it

we have some hvac work but not a whole lot

yea thats rough think it would even out working less hours for more money at the barge place just something youd have to research more work is super slow in the union right now but could also look into that bunch of powerplants an data centers about to start going up the 5 year apprenticeship is rough to get through but totally worth it im in a shop 40 hours making 40 an hour not counting pension, annuity, and health an welfare.

ahh gotcha yea thats not too bad i guess i like 6 10's thats my sweet spot still got time to relax a little an still get 20 hours OT hard to turn down a sunday of double time though lmao
