Thats not instantly, it's the speed of light, lol. And because something is travelling across a space, it is also travelling across time. The only exception to this would be quantum mechnics
for relativity - think of fractions and multiplications. If you have A and B at speed 1. A accelerates double the speed. From B's perspective, A is now 2. From A's perspective, B is now 1/2. B didn't move at all, but B was changed by A's movement, relative to A.

I think the arrogance of man is thinking that we're separate from nature when in reality, we're just a conscious part of it.

It's not that time travel isn't possible - we know how to already do it theoretically. We dont know how to "control" time travel because of scarcity and limits of information.
!tts Einstein himself said that quantum mechanics breaks relativity, and said that if thats the case relativity is not complete. We've proven that now; but until we discover the missing piece tying them in its the best we have.
Spacetime is actually the same thing. We like to think of it as two separate things for the purpose of measuring, but in relativity spacetime is one thing made of multiple components.
There is a theory that everything is predetermined, but not in a way that your free will doesn't matter, but rather the predetermination is based on you having the ability of free will. It uses time as a main pillar to hold up the theory.
