Of course, but I was doing it like it was my job. Because I had nothing else to do. I drowned in it. I am a man who was defeated my comfort for the past decade.

Sorry that message comes REALLY late, my caseworker called back and I was on the phone with her for 30+ minutes. Just got the ball rolling on a few things for the future.

All we can do is push forward. Whatever broke in me, it made me stop gooning cold turkey, and the pall of stress made me act. I wonder if in the future I'll see this as God finally answering my prayers to give me motivation.

I have a good home. I once dreamed of leaving it, but in this economy my mom has a good house in a good neighborhood, and it will be mine in the future. Plus, it's completely paid off, we just have to pay the taxes, a bish though it is.

But it has been a kick in the pants. I'm taking my writing more seriously, I'm going to ask my caseworker to find me any job, I'm going to seek out singles groups, just ANYTHING to keep me from crumbling in the face of my mid-thirties.

Something happened last Monday. I don't know what broke, but my romantic loneliness assailed be the whole week, as well as the realization that I have accomplished nothing. I'm still feeling that pall of stress even now.

So basically, save money?
